“ Hilmaks has been a big part of mine and my husbands love Story for both of us and our love of seafood. I met my husband while on vacation at GOTL. I am from Pittsburgh and drove up every other weekend for 2 years and as soon as I would get here I would visit hilmaks take out seafood store to get our favorite items that we would enjoy at lake shore Park before my husband had to head back to work at the Ashtabula first energy coal plant right next to the park. We enjoyed both those memories and the dinners that we squeezed into our dating schedule alike. Hilmaks today has so improved to the greatness of this restaurant as the renovation and the changes made since the present owners took over are remarkable. The food which was Good before is even better than I remember I got the seafood pasta alfredo. The scallops and shrimp were of the highest quality and the Alfredo sauce was some of the best I have ever had. The wines list was adequate, but above all, I have to give a phenomenal shout out to the waitress. She was just everything that you would expect from an award winning restaurant and I noticed the entire staff was giving the same service to everyone in the restaurant. As if the delicious food and phenomenal service was not enough, they have live music on the weekends. Very sweet tunes help you to relax and to enjoy your seafood creations that much more! ”
